Gareth presents Breakfast on Sky News live from 6am every weekday.
An award-winning broadcaster, from 2014-2023 he worked for the BBC as a presenter and reporter for World Service radio, World TV and BBC News.
He began his career at BBC Radio York, while also reporting on rural affairs for Radio 4's Farming Today and Countryfile on BBC One.
On air throughout the US Capitol riots, he anchored coverage of the opening hours of the invasion of Ukraine, the Wagner mutiny against Putin and has extensively covered the situation in the Middle East.
He reported from Bangladesh as the Rohingya crisis developed and has presented programmes from across Europe.
Prior to broadcasting, he was a sheep farmer and supplied lamb to some of the UK's most prestigious restaurants from his farm in North Yorkshire.
