Man arrested after two stabbed at Sony HQ in London

Two people have been stabbed at the Sony HQ in west London and one man has been arrested.

The condition of the two people who were injured is not known but London Ambulance Service said one was taken to hospital and one was taken to a major trauma centre.

Police were called at around 11am to an incident on Derry Street in Kensington.

Reports have circulated that there was a fight between two members of kitchen staff.

"We just heard screaming and running and people slamming doors," said a Sony employee, who did not want to be named.

The men, who are employed by a catering company, were "running round chasing each other" and "slashing each other up", he added.

Employees of the company are being interviewed by police outside the office.

The Metropolitan Police said: "No evidence of any firearms involved in this incident.

"It is not being treated as terror-related.

"Officers remain on scene and the incident remains ongoing."

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called at 11.01 today to Derry Street, W8, to reports of an incident.

"We sent an incident response officer, two single responders in cars and two ambulance crews to the scene.

"We treated two people at the scene. We took one to hospital and one to a major trauma centre."

According to the Evening Standard, which is based by the scene, a witness reported seeing panicked people running from the incident while screaming.

"Large crowds of people began exiting the building's front door at around 11 o'clock," the onlooker said.

"Most were running, all towards Kensington Square Garden. Several were visibly panicked and some were screaming."
