A mural has appeared on the side of a building in Dover by street artist Banksy showing a workman chipping away at one of the stars of the European flag.
The workman is seen removing one of the 12 stars in the artwork which appears near the Kent port town's ferry terminal.
Representatives of the elusive artist confirmed the mural was his work and pictures of it appear on his official Instagram account.
It comes as the country is in the middle of a General Election campaign and Brexit.
The coastal town acts as one of the main gateways to the continent.
It is a short crossing from Calais where Banksy sent most of his exhibitions from his Dismaland project in Weston-super-Mare in Somerset to be used as a shelter for migrants.
The stars on the EU flag do not actually represent its member states. Instead they represent a circle of unity.
