Bermondsey stabbings: All victims identified and suspect under arrest in hospital, police say

All four were pronounced dead at the scene and the family of the deceased has been informed and is being supported by specialist officers.

All four people stabbed to death at a house in southeast London on Monday have now been named by police.

On Tuesday, the Met Police Specialist Crime Command appealed for information about the the deaths at a property in Southwark in the early hours of Monday.

The victims have been named as 58-year-old Denton Burke and his partner , 64, who lived together at the house in Delaford Road, Southwark.

Tanysha Ofori-Afukko, 45, also known as Rachquel, who is Ms Hill's daughter, has also been named.

The final victim has been identified as Samantha Drummonds, 27, who is Ms Ofori-Afukko's daughter and lived in Lewisham.

The family of the deceased has been informed and is being supported by specialist officers.

A friend of Samantha's told reporters that she had temporarily moved into the house during building work at her own flat in Forest Hill.

Rudra Brambhatt told the Evening Standard: "She had only recently moved out temporarily while her bathroom was done. Samantha took her cat and went back to the family home.

"We are devastated. We got on so well. She loved music and worked at NatWest."

Detective Chief Inspector Linda Bradley said: "This was a truly horrific incident and I fully recognise that the distress for the family and the community will be overwhelming.

Four people have been murdered at a home in Bermondsey

"We are conducting a thorough and detailed investigation into the facts and we are appealing to anyone who can assist with any information to come forward."

A 28-year-old man arrested on suspicion of killing the four family members is being held under arrest in hospital, police have said.

It is thought all five people were known to each other.

Part of the residential street was closed off with metal hoardings, while a number of forensic tents were erected as police carried out their investigations.

On Monday, Ms Hill's niece Venecia Reid told reporters at the scene: "She was very loving, very kind, very generous.

"She worked very hard in this country to support her two girls and her two grandkids.

"She does not deserve this."
