Detectives say their investigation is still in its "very early stages" and are appealing for witnesses.

Sunny Singh told Sky News he was outside his shop when he heard what sounded like a single shotgun blast.

"I heard a bang coming from the left side of my ear... I knew it was a gunshot because fireworks don't make that sound," he said.

Mr Singh said a "young lad" about 14 or 15 ran in the shop and told him "someone's trying to shoot at me and I need protection - can I just hide in here?"
