Boy, 12, taken to hospital after 'explosion' at Uddingston industrial estate

A 12-year-old boy was taken to hospital following reports of an explosion at an industrial estate in South Lanarkshire.
Emergency services were called to a unit within Tannochside Industrial Estate in Uddingston at around 9.10pm on Monday.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) confirmed that a skip and heavy goods vehicle (HGV) had gone up in flames.
Operations control mobilised four appliances to the scene and the blaze was extinguished.
Crews left at around 11.51pm after making the area safe.
Investigations are now underway to establish the circumstances of the incident.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 9.10pm on Monday 5 June, police were called to an industrial unit in Bedlay View, Tannochside Industrial Estate, Uddingston, following reports of an explosion.
"SFRS and police attended and the fire was quickly extinguished.
"A 12-year-old boy was taken to hospital following the fire and inquiries remain ongoing to ascertain the full circumstances of the incident."
