An image of a man police want to speak to over the murder of a teenager in north London has been released, as officers urge the public to "do the right thing".

Deshaun James Tuitt, 15, was fatally stabbed in Highbury Fields, north London, just before 9pm on 4 August 2022.

He later died in hospital, and a post-mortem ruled Deshaun's cause of death was a stab wound, shock, and haemorrhage.

On Saturday, the Metropolitan Police released a still from CCTV showing a man they want to speak to in connection with the teenager's murder.

Detective inspector Ben Dalloway said: "I urge anyone who has information about the man pictured, or about Deshaun's murder, to please do the right thing and get in touch either in person or anonymously.

"His family are desperate for answers and we are doing everything we can to get them the justice they need.

"If the man in the image is you, don't wait for us to contact you, please get in touch without delay."

In December 2022, Sandrina Tuitt, Deshaun's aunt, said it was "heart-wrenching" for the family to "live life knowing he's never coming back".

She added at a press conference at Scotland Yard: "We know people are scared and people don't want to talk. They don't want to talk to the police - they'll talk amongst their friends."
