'Devoted dad' from Caerphilly killed in three-vehicle crash

The family of Matthew Theophilus said his death would "leave an emptiness that will never be filled". South Wales Police is continuing to investigate the collision.

A man who died in a three-vehicle crash in South Wales has been described as a "devoted dad" by his devastated family.

Matthew Theophilus, from Caerphilly, was killed in a collision between a white BMW, a blue Vauxhall Zafira and a white Hyundai on the A4058 Trehafod on 3 December.

In a statement, his family said the 35-year-old's death would "leave an emptiness that will never be filled".

They said he was "full of life and love for his family" and a "devoted dad to his three-year-old daughter".

"Our memories of Matthew will last a lifetime and Matthew will live on in his precious daughter," they added.

"As a family we would like to thank everyone who have sent messages of support and we now ask for time to grieve together as a family."
