Police have launched a double murder investigation after two men were stabbed to death during a suspected robbery at a cannabis factory.
A fight spilled into a street from a house in Pensnett Road in Brierley Hill, in the West Midlands, after a group tried to force their way into the property at around 3.30am on Thursday.
Witnesses reported the premises being attacked, windows broken, and men running away carrying plants, police said.
Two men suffered knife wounds and a car crashed into parked vehicles in the street.
One man was pronounced dead at the scene, and a second was taken to hospital where he died from his injuries.
Police later discovered a cannabis factory inside the house where the fight broke out.
One man has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to rob.
Enquiries are under way to identify the other men involved.
Police are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time, including motorists with dashcam footage, to get in touch.
Inspector Nick Barnes, of West Midlands Police, said: "We believe this property was deliberately targeted by a group of men who knew it was being used to cultivate cannabis.
"In the ensuing disorder two men have suffered fatal knife wounds."
