The Duchess of Cambridge has been reunited with some old faces after two of her former teachers surprised her during a visit to Wales.
William and Kate were on a visit to the Mumbles seafront in Swansea when she was reunited with Denise Evans-Allford and husband Kevin Allford, who she had not seen for almost 25 years.
The couple taught Kate, as well as her siblings, at St Andrew's prep school in Pangbourne, Berkshire. Mrs Evans-Allford taught PE, while Mr Allford taught French and German.
After seeing them, the duchess said "it's such a small world" outside the ice cream parlour where the royal couple had been speaking to parents and tucking in to sweet treats.
Speaking after meeting his former pupil, Mr Allford said: "As they were coming to Wales today, we drove from Carmarthen to try to say hello to them.
"One of the detectives took a note in to the ice cream parlour for us and she came out. It is wonderful she gave us so much time. We were talking about happy days that we had."
William and Kate spent a busy day in Wales, meeting lifeboat crews, steel workers and volunteers at a boxing centre in Port Talbot, in an effort to understand the issues facing the local community there.
The duchess also talked to local about her early years survey, which she launched in January.
