France's new president has assembled his cabinet with figures from the left and right.
Emmanuel Macron has appointed socialist Jean-Yves Le Drian to head up foreign affairs and European MP Sylvie Goulard as defence minister.
A number of key figures during his election campaign have also been given senior roles with the mayor of Lyon, Gerard Collomb, named as interior minister and centrist ally Francois Bayrou put in charge of justice.
Right-winger Bruno Le Maire becomes economy minister and is one of three members of the conservative Republicans party in the government along with prime minister Edouard Philippe, who was appointed on Monday.
Mr Macron had vowed to cherry-pick talent from both sides of the political divide and has kept on two members of the ousted Socialist government - Mr Le Drian and Annick Girardin, who has been appointed minister of France's overseas territories.
Only one of the top five roles, defence, went to a woman as the 10 other female appointees took culture, labour, sports and health, among other portfolios.
Environmentalist Nicolas Hulot, takes charge of ecology, and publisher Francoise Nyssen became culture minister.
Olympic fencing champion Laura Flessel, 45, and from the French island of Guadeloupe, was named sports minister.
