Girl, nine, in 'life-threatening condition' after being hit by bus in southeast London

A nine-year-old girl is in a "life-threatening" condition after being hit by a bus in southeast London.
Her brother, aged five, was also struck by the vehicle and has been taken to hospital as a precaution, the Metropolitan Police said.
The male driver of the bus was arrested at the scene in Bexleyheath and remains in custody.
The children were with a family member when the collision happened on Saturday morning.

The incident took place in Watling Street, near the junction with Halcot Avenue, and officers were called just after 9am.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
