With Meghan lying on the grass with her head in Harry's lap, they couldn't look happier to share their news with the world.

Their spokesperson confirming: "Archie is going to be a big brother. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are overjoyed to be expecting their second child."

In November, Meghan wrote about their trauma at losing a child due to a miscarriage in the summer, saying they wanted to help end the taboo around baby loss.

The fact they're now no longer working royals has allowed them to keep their baby news quieter for longer.

And Meghan's victory in her case against the Mail on Sunday last week again made it clear that they will do anything to defend the privacy of their family.

The way they've announced the pregnancy is very different from the way it would have been done through the palace, so it'll be fascinating to see how they decide to tell the world when the baby arrives.

We know with Archie they did their best to avoid the usual media circus of a royal birth. But when will we see the new arrival?

For now, they're keeping that part of the happy news to themselves.
