Five killed in Israel overnight

Another person has been killed in Iran's overnight strikes in Israel, the country's national emergency services says.

The latest victim was found in the rubble of a building in Petah Tikva, central Israel, that was damaged in the attack.

It brings the number of people killed across Israel overnight to five. Emergency service earlier reported two women and two men had died.

Iran executes man for spying for Israel - report

Iran has executed a man who was found guilty of spying for Israel's intelligence agency Mossad, Iran's Fars news agency reports.

The man, identified as Esmail Fekri, is the third person to be executed in recent weeks on charges of spying for Israel.

Damage near US embassy in Tel Aviv

Donald Trump's ambassador to Israel says the US embassy in Tel Aviv will remain closed after there was "minor damage" nearby during overnight Iranian attacks.

Mike Huckabee said there were no injuries to any US personnel during the strikes.

Number killed overnight in Israel rises to four

A fourth person has been killed in central Israel in the latest round of Iranian attacks.

The Israeli police say a man in his 80s was found dead in Bnei Brak, east of Tel Aviv.

More than 20 people with "varying degrees of injury" were evacuated at the site of the strike.

Earlier, Israel's emergency services said two women and one man had been killed in rocket strikes across four sites in central Israel (see 4.46am post).

IDF says it hit Quds Force command centres in Tehran

The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) says its jets have attacked Quds Force command centres in Tehran.

The Quds Force is the foreign espionage and paramilitary arm of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps.

It heavily influences Tehran's allied militia across the Middle East, including groups like Hezbollah in Lebanon.

The IDF says the centres it struck were used by the Quds Force "to plan terror attacks against Israel via the Iranian regime's proxies in the Middle East".

Three killed in Israel in latest attacks

Two women and one man have been killed in rocket strikes across four sites in central Israel, according to emergency service Magen David Adom (MDA).

It posted on X to say there was one serious injury, five moderate, and 68 people with mild injuries. 

Rescue operations are ongoing at two sites, MDA added.

Apartment block hit by Iran strike

A residential building in central Israel is shown with significant damage after the latest Iranian missile strikes.

The Times of Israel reports the location of the building as Petah Tikva, about six miles east of Tel Aviv. 

Details on casualties from the impact are so far unclear.

Search and rescue ongoing at missile sites in central Israel

Israel's MDA emergency medical service has posted images and video on X showing "a number of sites of rocket strikes in central Israel".

The post appears to show significant damage to an apartment block. 

In a follow-up post, the MDA said 29 injured people had so far been evacuated across all rocket strike sites - with "three in moderate condition and 26 in mild condition".

It said search and rescue efforts were ongoing.

Public can leave air raid shelters

The Israeli military has said people can leave shelters and safe spaces, signalling the threat from the latest rocket barrage is over.
