Jodie Chesney's friends were gripped by "panic and hysteria" after the teenager was fatally stabbed in a park, a witness to her murder has said.
The 17-year-old was attacked while talking and listening to music with a group of friends in Harold Hill in Romford, east London on 1 March.
Kasey Henderson, 18, a friend of the Girl Scout, told jurors at the Old Bailey on Monday it all happened "very fast" and was "completely unexpected".
Mr Henderson said he was "kind of confused and that's when a lot of the panic and hysteria started between all of us".
He added: "Jodie screamed because of the pain and we were all confused by what was going on before we figured it out."
He said that Jodie's boyfriend, Eddie Coyle, told him she had been stabbed.
Mr Coyle had to catch his girlfriend and "tried to keep her up and tried to keep her awake" following the stabbing, a 17-year-old girl who was with the group told the court.
The girl, who cannot be identified because of her age, said they had gathered to chat, listen to music, and smoke cannabis.
She heard Jodie scream and Mr Coyle say she had been stabbed, before shining her torch on Jodie's back.
The girl said: "I saw a hole. You could clearly see she had been stabbed because the jacket she had been wearing had fluff on the inside.
"The jacket had been ripped. The fluff had originally been white and you could see blood."
The girl said she saw two men wearing thick coats, one taller than the other, running away.
She went on: "I got the phone and called the ambulance myself. She stopped screaming by this point and her eyes started to roll back in her head and she fell into Eddie and he had to catch her.
