Man and woman to appear in court charged with murder of their 31-week-old baby daughter

Lily-Mai St George was just 31-weeks-old when she died on 2 February 2018 - an inquest into her death found she had a number of rib fractures and a serious head injury at the time of her death.

A man and a woman will appear in court charged with the murder of their baby daughter.

Lily-Mai St George was just 31 weeks old when she died on 2 February 2018.

An inquest into her death found she had 19 rib fractures and a serious head injury at the time of her death.

Darren Hurrell, 25, of Derby, and Lauren Saint-George, 25, of Enfield, will appear at Wood Green Crown Court on Monday, 13 June.

Hurrell and Saint-George have both been charged with:

  • The murder of a victim under one year old
  • Causing or allowing the death of a child
  • Manslaughter
  • Assault / ill-treatment / neglect / abandonment of a child / young person to cause unnecessary suffering / injury

Their trial will take place next week.
