Police have charged a teenager over the attempted abduction of a 12-year-old girl in Leeds.
The incident, which happened at around 9.15am last Tuesday, 23 April, saw the youngster grabbed by the waist and carried towards a secluded wooded area behind an electricity substation.
She had been on her way to school when she was approached in Old Run Road, Hunslet, near the M621 flyover, and forced the man to run off when she fought back and escaped.
Detectives shared CCTV images and video footage recorded by a passer-by to try and find the person responsible and an 18-year-old man was arrested earlier on Tuesday.
Michael Sehannie, of St Luke's Road, has since been charged with kidnap in relation to the incident and has been remanded to appear at Leeds Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
