A 29-year-old man has denied attempting to murder four children in a car crash in South Yorkshire.
Owen Scott was arrested after his grey Dacia Logan crashed into a pub in the Oxspring area of Barnsley at about 12.25am on 23 August.
Four children, including two babies, were in the vehicle when it collided with a wall at the Travellers Inn.
A seven and an eight-year-old girl, as well as two boys aged nine months and 21 months, were taken to hospital in a serious condition.
According to the police, their injuries were "not all thought to be consistent with the collision".
The youngsters had been reported missing from Hythe in Hampshire the day before.
Scott, who was also hurt in the crash, was arrested at the scene on suspicion on dangerous driving.
Appearing by video link at Sheffield Crown Court, he pleaded not guilty to four counts of attempted murder and also denied dangerous driving.
Scott, from Fawley in Hampshire, will remain in custody until his trial in January.
