Passengers have been left stranded at Manchester Airport after an IT issue caused major delays.
Some of those caught up in the chaos claimed they faced queuing for hours, missing flights and not being offered water.
A statement from the airport earlier today said: "We are investigating an IT issue that is currently affecting check-in and our teams are working hard to rectify the problem.

"We apologise to passengers for any inconvenience caused and will provide an update as soon as possible.
The IT issue, which largely affected terminals one and two, has since been resolved but many holidaymakers are still facing delays.

Many have voiced their frustrations on Twitter and shared pictures of the queues, with one social media user likening passengers in the check-in area to "sardines in a tin".
Johnny Buckley tweeted that the situation was "absolutely shambolic".
He wrote: "Sat on sister plane Alba Star at Manchester airport, everyone on the plane on time but apparently we've missed our slot.
"It's ridiculous (sic) hot and we haven't been offered a drink or anything."

He continued: "We have now been on the plane for over an hour.
"Because of the delays my gluten allergic daughter hasn't had any lunch - we are told the only thing available for her lunch AND dinner is a chocolate brownie.
