A man has been jailed after police discovered a heroin stash worth 拢12,000 buried in woods.
Paul Boardman, 35, played a "lead role" in a county lines drugs operation between Liverpool and Aberdeen, according to Police Scotland.
He was arrested in June 2021 following the recovery of the package, which was buried in a wooded area between Balgownie Drive and Kettocks Mill Road in Aberdeen.
The force said the heroin had an estimated street value of £12,000. Officers also seized £50,000 in cash.
At Aberdeen High Court, Boardman was jailed for more than six years after pleading guilty to being concerned in the supply of drugs.

Detective Inspector Rob Sim said: "We believe Boardman had a lead role in orchestrating drug supply in Aberdeen."
Mr Sim added: "He thought he could operate his illegal activities with no consequences, however, his conviction and sentencing demonstrates no one is above the law.
"If anyone has any concerns regarding drug dealing please report it to us.
"We are well aware of the damage drugs cause in our local communities and by working together we can remove them from our streets."
