Players and managers from both clubs, match officials and the Premier League collectively decided to abandon the match with the score 1-1 after Lockyer's collapse.

It's the second time this year Lockyer has collapsed on the field.

In May, he fell 12 minutes into Luton's play-off final against Coventry City, where he was carried out of Wembley Stadium on a stretcher and taken to hospital.

Speaking to in June, Lockyer confirmed he had an atrial flutter, a type of heart arrhythmia which he said was "probably the least severe heart condition you could have".

He underwent corrective surgery shortly after the collapse in May, and was "given the all-clear" to play in the Premier League.
