The official account said the call was part of a series of talks the Queen has held with world leaders, including France's President Emmanuel Macron, New Zealand's Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, Canada's Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Australia's Prime Minister Scott Morrison.

Mr Trump's conversation with the Queen comes just over a year since their last meeting, when the US president came to the UK in early June 2019 for a state visit.
