A man has been charged with conspiracy to rob after a police shootout in southwest London.
Armed officers swooped on two suspected robbers in Wimbledon on Monday morning in a "proactive operation".
One of the men was shot by police and taken to hospital after witnesses reported an exchange of gunfire.
The injured man, 23, remains in hospital where he is under arrest on suspicion of conspiracy to rob, the Metropolitan Police said.
A second man, Abdirahman Mohomad Omar, 23, was also arrested and has been charged with conspiracy to rob.
He was due to appear at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.
The Met Police said it was carrying out an operation "into cash in transit robberies" and a suspected stolen car was recovered at the scene.
One witness said the suspected robbery involved a large white van parked outside a Sainsbury's Local in Haydons Road.
The Independent Office for Police Conduct, which is investigating the incident, said two Met firearms officers had each fired their weapons once.
The watchdog said a knife and a crowbar had been recovered from the scene and the injuries suffered by the man who was shot are not believed to be serious.
