Thomas Wong: Man arrested after death of 11-year-old cyclist in Edinburgh bin lorry crash

A man has been arrested almost three months on from a fatal crash in which an 11-year-old boy died after being struck by a bin lorry.
Thomas Wong was riding his bike when the collision occurred on Edinburgh's Whitehouse Road at around 8.20am on Friday 1 March.
Emergency services attended, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
In an update on Wednesday, Police Scotland said a 28-year-old man had been arrested in connection with enquiries into the crash.
A force spokesperson said: "Enquiries to establish the full circumstances are continuing."

Thomas, a Cramond Primary School pupil, was described as the "perfect son" by his family.
In a statement released through Police Scotland following the incident, his family thanked all those who had shown support, but said: "We are utterly heartbroken."
