Tiger Woods is back at home in Florida to resume his recovery from career-threatening leg injuries after a car crash in Los Angeles last month.

"Happy to report that I am back home and continuing my recovery," Woods said in a tweet posted on Tuesday night.

"I am so grateful for the outpouring of support and encouragement that I have received over the past few weeks."

The golf legend was injured on 23 February - two days after the Genesis Invitational at Riviera.

The 45-year-old's car hit a curb, then a tree, before rolling several times on the border of Rolling Hills Estates and Rancho Palos Verdes.

He had a lengthy surgery that day at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center for shattered tibia and fibula bones of his lower right leg in multiple places.

Other injuries to the bones in his foot and ankle required screws and pins.
