The force said his family had been informed and was receiving support from specialist officers.

Three boys, aged 14, 15 and 17, were arrested on Friday and remain in police custody.

Police have made a renewed appeal for information and witnesses to the alleged incident.

Police said they believe it took place on the Grand Union towpath under Scrubs Lane.

Detective chief inspector Brian Howie, who is leading the investigation, said the force's thoughts "remain with" Mr Lee's family.

"We made three arrests as part of our investigation into Victor's murder," he said.

"However I still need to hear from anyone who has information about what happened last Sunday."

Police teams will be in the vicinity of Scrubs Lane on Sunday as part of their appeal for information.

Anyone who has information is urged to contact the police.
