Cardiff riot: Police say there were no police vehicles on the road at the time of fatal crash

South Wales Police has referred itself to its watchdog after CCTV footage showed a police van following two people on an electric bike before a fatal crash which sparked a riot in Cardiff.

Speaking at a press conference, Divisional Commander for Cardiff & The Vale, Chief Superintendent Martyn Stone, said there were no police vehicles on the road at the time of the fatal crash on Monday night.
