Cost of Living: Energy bills to fall but will still cost almost double pre-crisis levels
Ofgem is cutting its price cap from 拢3,280 to 拢2,074 in a relief for consumers who have seen bills rocket. Average costs have risen from 拢1,271 a year in October 2021 due to soaring power prices driven by the pandemic and Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
