Germany to outlaw installation of oil and gas heating systems
Germany has approved a bill that bans most new oil and gas heating systems from 2024 in line with their ambitions to become climate neutral by 2045. The policy is designed to cut greenhouse gas emissions but critics warn it could be costly for poorer households.
