HS2: Andy Burnham says PM's announcement 'does not make any logical sense'
Greater Manchester mayor Andy Burnham says that running HS2 to Birmingham from London, and then switching it onto the West Coast Mainline to reach Manchester "does not make sense" as the line is already clogged.
