Possession or distribution of vehicle theft equipment could lead to a five-year sentence
New government laws mean owning or distributing any car theft equipment, including 'signal jammers', could lead to jail time. Anyone found with it will have to prove it is for legitimate reasons - whereas under old laws police had to prove the owner was guilty.
