UK riots: Over 20 people charged after riots in Middlesbrough

According to the CPS, 100 people have been charged with offences relating to the riots. The Justice Minister Heidi Alexander said today that 567 additional prison spaces would soon come into use to deal with the rioters.

Over 400 people have been arrested across the UK. 28 people were due to appear in the Middlesbrough Magistrates Court on 7 August, all related to the violence that broke out in the city.
