Biography
Helen-Ann is Asia correspondent, based in Beijing, with a particular focus on China, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea and North Korea.
She was one of the only foreign journalists present for the police crackdown on Shanghai's White Paper Protests, and has published exclusive investigations into Xinjiang's former prison camps and the crackdown on other minority communities in China.
Helen-Ann has reported on natural disasters, political upheavals and economic trends across the region as well as leading Sky's analysis of China's rise and influence on the global stage.
Prior to moving to Asia she was Business and Economics Correspondent and has reported on other major international stories including the 2020 US election.
Before becoming a correspondent she was the instigator and architect of the Sky Ocean Rescue campaign and won multiple awards for environmental documentary making.
