Biography
Katie previously worked for Sky as a news correspondent in London, covering a range of national and international stories.
Before joining Sky's North of England team she was senior reporter for BBC North West, covering major stories including the disappearance of Nicola Bulley, the Manchester Arena Inquiry and the Southport attack. She also delivered a string of original investigations on topics including gang crime in Merseyside, the crisis facing the North West's mental health system and unmarked graves at church-run mother and baby homes.
Her documentary for BBC iPlayer on the killing of Brianna Ghey - featuring the first interviews with Brianna's mother and headteacher - became the most watched episode in the Big Cases series and was turned into special programmes for both BBC 2 and File on 4.
